Tom is a painter with a delicate touch and a meditative approach. He uses fluid, saturated colors in both watercolor and acrylic paints. Each brush stroke is a little experiment in which he observes the colors flowing into one another and makes subtle adjustments to his brush. He has long been an accomplished abstract painter, creating fields of multi-colored brush strokes, and has recently shown great interest and skill in painting landscapes and other subjects. He finds special resonance with the paintings of the Impressionists.
