Monica grew up in the Bay Area and as an artist often draws on her Japanese heritage for inspiration. She usually prefers a palette of violet, teal, red and yellow ink in creating detailed images of flora and fauna, and women in patterned kimono. Monica loves to bake in her spare time and strives to use healthy ingredients to make sweet treats, because---as she says---“ I am a sweetheart. ”
