When lockdown began, the time at home gave my wife and I the opportunity to enjoy a healthy breakfast together each morning. While our steel-cut oats simmered, we got creative slicing fruit and assembling different humorous or biologically inspired designs. These became an almost daily ritual resulting in over 200 different pieces of ephemeral, edible art. Starting the day with a small artistic gift for each other helped us deal with the uncertainty of the pandemic and it was a lot of fun to watch the joy spread as we shared our photos on social media.
